James 1860 - 1912 is my great grandfather and he was a horse dealer & farmer.
The horse trainer trained the horses, the foreman ran the farm and James Atherton snr who liked to dress in a swallow tailed morning coat collected the cash.
But the music stopped abruptly in 1912 when he died.
