The Atherton One-Name Study has been running for 15 years and counting and was first established by Derek Atherton from Lancashire who worked tirelessly to build our extensive global database. In 2023, Kai Atherton took over responsibility for the One-Name Study to build upon Derek’s tremendous work. The study is supported by Atherton descendants from around the world who contribute by providing family histories, photos and information to continue building Atherton family trees.
