Sir William Atherton 1806 - 1864

The family vault. Member of Parliament. He was principally best-known as Member of Parliament for Durham (1852-64). He was also Solicitor-General 1859 and Attorney-General 1861.

Plot: Marble chest tomb with a cross. The monument is located on the north side of the Circle.
