Death of Mr C.Atherton
The Funeral.
The funeral of Mr Cecil Atherton, 68 Gladstone Street, Winsford, who was 74 years of age, took place on Friday last week, at St Chad's Church.
The late Mr Atherton was a retired engineer and was formerly employed by the Salt Union Limited, for 40 years. He retired about 10 years ago.
The mourners were Mr H.Atherton (son), Mrs Gilbert, Miss B.M.Atherton, Miss(sic) J.Williamson and Miss S.Atherton (daughters), Mrs Haddock, Weston Point (sister), Mrs J.Stretch, Manchester (sister), Mr Joseph Stephenson, Mrs Hancock, Mrs H.Atherton, Mr & Mrs H.Moss, Mrs Mellor, Mr & Mrs B.Boden, Mr R.Southern, Mr J.Stretch, Mrs T.Stevenson, Mr J.Williamson, Mr A. Haddock, Mr H.Southern, Mr & Mrs Williamson, Mr & Mrs Kirkham, Mr L.Gilbert, Mr T.Stevenson, Mr H.Hulse, Mr A.Preston, Mr F.Hughes, Mrs Stringer, Mr J.Webb, Mrs J.Fitchen, Mr Watson and Mr J.Threadgold.
