Sudden Passing of Emma Atherton
Heart Disease Called Beloved Wife and Mother Wednesday Morning.
Mrs. Emma Atherton, wife of R.A. and mother of Walter A. Atherton, died yesterday morning at the family home after a brief illness of only a few hours. Death was caused by heart trouble.
Mrs. Atherton was a native of Wisconsin, and was 58 years of age. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge of Milton, Wisconsin, and the Women's Relief Corps. The Athertons have resided in this section for several years and less than a year ago purchased a home on South School Street and moved to town.
The funeral will be held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock from the late residence, Rev. F.A. Keast officiating. Flora Rebekah Lodge and the W.R.C. will have charge of services at the grave. Interment will be made in Lodi cemetery.
