Part of letter from Kathryn's brother Jim in 1994:
Section 18 is north of Rogers Road on
the right as you enter from the street. Lot 105 is 11 rows to the right of the entrance way and
two headstones in from the fence. You can even see it from the street. It says:
ATHERTON
IN LOVING MEMORY
THOMAS ATHERTON
DIED APRIL 6, 1916
AGED 62 YEARS
HIS DAUGHTERS
ELLEN ATHERTON
DIED AUG 23 1957 - AGED 68 YRS
CHARLOTTE ATHERTON
DIED JAN 28 1968 - AGED 79 YRS
And there is a small space, slightly larger than the spaces between the other letters on the
tombstone in the sixth line between the 'R' and the 'S' in "DAUGHTERS". So, lines 6-8
(without that 'S') were probably added in 1957 and lines 10 and 11, along with that 'S' were
probably added in 1968. Or that's how I figure it, anyway.
