      In the 1920 U. S. Census, Revillo [the name used by family] is listed under the name `Atherton Ernest R.,` age 29, single, living as a lodger in the household of George DeMott, with an occupation of `Machinist gas engine` and working for wages.

      `E. R. Atherton Dies Here at 64
      Edward R. Atherton, 64, long-time Pendleton resident, died early Sunday morning in St. Anthony`s hospital; after a long illness. Funeral notice appears on page 9 of this issue of The East Oregonian.
      He was owner of the Tire shop here for a number of years and then lived in Seattle where he was employed by the Goodrich Tire Co. From Seattle he came to Gibbon and farmed. Later he came to Pendleton and for the past several years was fireman on the Union Pacific Railroad. He was born in Iowa and had lived in this country for over 30 years.
      He is survived by his widow, the former Celena Bergevin, to whom he was married Feb. 26, 1927 in Seattle; his son, John E. Atherton, Pendleton; his brother, R. W. Atherton, Ontario, his sisters, Mrs. Laura Allison, Salem, Mrs. Fern Garren, Sunnyside, Wash., Mrs. Mary Yarnell, Portland, and several nieces and nephews.`

      ATHERTON, Edward R., 64, late of 122 1/2 SE 7th, husband of Celena Bergevin Atherton; father of John E. Atherton, Pendelton; brother of R. W. Atherton, Ontario, Ore.; Mrs. Laura Allison, Salem, Ore.; Mrs. Fern Garren, Sunnyside, Wash.; Mrs. Mary Yarnell, Portland, Ore., and several nieces and nephews. Requiem Mass will be Tuesday, Sept. 14, 9:30 a.m., St. Mary`s Catholic church with the Rev. John J. O`Hara, S. J. officiating. Rosary will be Monday, Sept. 13, 7:30 p.m. at the church. Bearers will be: Lee Bowers, Leonard Herbes, Frank Johne, Clarence Tubbs, Bill Scharn, Paul Alexander. Burial will be in Mt. View cemetery, Walla Walla, Wash. BURNS MORTUARY in charge of arrangements.`
