    • Rose became an early graduate as a Nursing Sister from the Rockhampton General Hospital and nursed in various parts of North Queensland. She joined the Army Nursing Service during World War 1 and served with distinction in France where she was mentioned in despatches and where she met her soldier husband to be George Ranson. They were married in England before returning home at the end of the War settling in New South Wales.WW1 Australian Services - Enlisted as Nurse on 2 Jun 1917 into 1st MD [Medical Division?]
